Our 5-year Workmanship Guarantee applies to a Trane Comfort System, and it holds up because of what happens before it is ever put in writing. Our expert technicians follow a rigorous 20-point checklist to guarantee precise installation, sealing and charging on every job, not only the ones that get inspected afterward. Independent studies, including research from North Carolina Alternative Energy Corp., Texas A&M University and Lakeland Electric & Water, have shown that an improperly installed system can significantly reduce efficiency and comfort even when the equipment itself is exactly right for the house. Todd Fokken oversees every installation personally. He holds certifications in air balancing, load calculations and duct design, the same measurements that decide whether a correctly sized system actually delivers the comfort it was sized for once it is sealed inside real ductwork in a real Cypress attic.

The size of the system is a calculation, not a rule of thumb.
A load calculation is the reading that decides what the house actually needs. It takes in the square footage, the orientation, the glazing, the insulation and the ductwork already in place. Replacing like for like because that is what was there before is how a house ends up with a unit that short cycles, never pulls the humidity out of the air, and costs more to run than the one it replaced.
Todd is certified in load calculations and duct design, and he does that arithmetic before recommending equipment. It is also why the estimate is free. Until the reading is taken, a price is only a guess.
